Andrea Foster is a graduate of the University of the West Indies-Cave Hill Campus and the Institute of International Relations-St. Augustine Campus.    She is also a
graduate of the University of Maryland and holds a Master of Science in Computer
Systems Management with a specialization in Information Resources Management and a MBA/Master of Science in International Management.A former diplomat, Professor Foster has also worked in information technology, education, the legal field and international development.  

Professor Foster frequently consults for several domestic and international companies on IT and business projects.  She is a business adviser to SDI, Inc.  She also consults for several major publishers on textbook development and new educational technology and serves on several focus groups relating to the development of new instructional materials.

Ms. Foster has published in the area of international development, specifically on migration.  Her article entitled “Barbadian Migration to Curacao 1930-1960” is
publishedin the Journal of the Barbados Historical Society.  She is currently
working on a number of articles for publication in the field of international business and management.  Her latest presentation on international business-“Globalization-small world, big challenges-Ten challenges of globalization,” was presented at the General Business Conference in 2009.  Her first textbook, Risky Business is scheduled to be released in spring 2010.  

She is  a member of the Board of Computer CORE and the Academy of Legal Studies in Business.
