Hutchinson </B></I>is Associate Professor of Sociology at the Community </div> <div> College of Baltimore County, Essex campus and a graduate of Baylor University</div> <div> and Stephen F. Austin University.  He has taught courses at Clemson University, </div> <div> Southwest Missouri State University, George Mason University, and the University</div> <div> of Baltimore. </div> <bR> <div> Hutchinson is Head of the Department of Sociology and Anthropology and </div> <div> Coordinator of the Center for Service Learning at Essex.  His academic specialties</div> <div> are in the areas of racial and cultural minorities and cultural anthropology with an</div> <div> emphasis on integrating his work in Bolivia and Nicaragua within related courses</div> <div> and research.  He has done other work and made presentations at various </div> <div> institutions in the areas of globalization,diversity, and making service learning </div> <div> an integral course component.  </div> <bR> <div> As chair of the College's Cultural Diversity Committee he has organized its work</div> <div>  to address issues relevant to international students and internationalizing the </div> <div> curriculum, the needs of an increasingly diverse multi-campus college system as </div> <div> well as expanding the presence of the Center for Service Learning.    </div> <div>  </div> <div>                 </div> <bR> <bR> </td> </tr></table></body>
